Patchwork

I made this quilt for theme of 'Great Fire Of London' for a competition. Its made from 2 pairs of trousers, off cuts, a waistcoat, 2 tops and some fabric samples. 2016

The design is an applique version of part of a woodcut from the time of the fire.  I won my section of the competition at Uttoxeter Quilt Show.

I made this quilt for a small recycling event in Leicester.  I had to make from old fabric and state where the fabrics had come from. I bought a charity shop blanket for £1 for wadding. 2015

Each section has a theme, childhood clothes, friends quilt, experiments etc.  Each section is quilted individually and stitched together. I won the competition.

I made this quilt for a magazine competition. Its mostly made from recycled fabrics. I didn't win but I do like it. 2015

This is the back view of the background for a Garden quilt I am working on. All hand dyed fabrics. 2014

A wedding quilt I made for my friend in her favourite colours.  Each square is quilted separately and stitched together. It's a full double at least. 2013

The back is made from Japanese style fabrics for a quieter choice. It's all cotton, all fabrics were pre washed as I knew it would get a lot of use.

I made my friend a quilt for her 50th birthday. It's made from quite rich fabrics as it's more for display than use. 2011

My friend decided she wanted a mini quilt so I dutifully made her one with left over fabrics from her large quilt. So fiddly. 2011
